What I do around here:

I help my patients get better through manual therapy and therapeutic exercises. I find the root cause of my patients’ pain or dysfunction and treat it. Aside from that , I work with my patients on maintaining a healthy life style and preventing injuries through increased body awareness and recognition of the body’s warning signs. My goal is to get my patients doing the things they love- painfree!

I became a Physiotherapist because:

I became a physiotherapist after a close family member was injured and began physiotherapy treatments. At the time , I had never been to a physiotherapy clinic and had no idea what it was they did there ! I always had an interest in the human body and how it worked and so after accompanying my family member multiple times for treatment and seeing significant results , I realised this job was for me. There is nothing more satisfying than being able to help someone get better!

My personal philosophy is:

I believe that the human body has the ability to heal- given the correct instructions and cues. This is why I value education and one-on-one , client-focused treatments.

What I do for fun:

Though I no longer do martial arts , I try to remain as active as I can. I love kayaking, downhill skiing, and of course being at the gym. Other than that , I’m an avid language learner . I currently speak French, Arabic , Spanish , and I’m working on my Turkish and German.

What I do around here:

I prescribe, progress, and regress exercise programs as well as teach correct movement techniques to help others recover, stay mobile, and injury free. I also apply treatment modalities such as thermotherapy, cryotherapy, TENS, STIM, IFC, ultrasound, and taping.

I became an Exercise Specialist because:

I am passionate about interacting and learning from others, and love being able to see people reach their full potential and live with good quality of life through exercise and physical activity!

My personal philosophy is:

Get to know the person, not just the patient.

What I do for fun:

I enjoy activities that allow me to spend time with my wife and two daughters.  Riding on the bike trails of Ottawa, playing golf, hockey and soccer are just a few of the things that keep me active.  As well, spending a few days at the gym working on strength and aerobic conditioning allow me to stay fit and keep pace with my active children.  With very little down time, I occasionally like to spend a quiet night at home watching a movie or playing the Wii.
