Custom orthotic devices:

Custom orthotics are medical devices used in the management of several foot conditions to relieve pain, protect and improve the function of the foot. Prior to initiating orthotic therapy a detailed biomechanical exam and gait analysis is performed to determine the best treatment option for each individual patient. The chiropodist will discuss your condition and create an individual treatment plan that suits you and your needs.

Compression Stockings:

Compression stockings are specialized hosiery designed to help prevent and treat disorders in the veins such as swelling, spider veins, varicose veins, ulcerations and blood clots. Compression stockings are elastic garments worn around the leg. Compression stockings are tightest at the ankles and gradually become less constrictive toward the knees and thighs. This reduces the diameter of veins and increases venous blood flow and the effectiveness of valves in the veins, which causes more blood to return to the heart and less blood to pool in the feet and legs.

Insurance Claims:

No referral is needed for an appointment with the Chiropodist. Your visit to the Chiropodist, as well as orthotics and compression stockings may be covered under your extended health insurance plan.
